Nettex: Social Media Content Creation and Art Direction

Evie ran the Nettex Instagram from March 2024 until March 2025. This involved concept development, art direction, and design of still and video content.

In this time, Evie grew the Nettex Instagram account organically by over 1000 followers. This was achieved through higher-quality content, more consistent posting, and increased community engagement.

Since March 2025, Evie has provided art direction and management for the Nettex social media specialist, primarily for Instagram and Pinterest.

Nettex: Social Media Moodboards and Photography

At Nettex, Evie modernised the creative direction and design of moodboards for fabric ranges, posted on Instagram and the Nettex website.

Evie created a bespoke moodboard template that incorporated a collage of swatches over images, replacing the old model which consisted of boxes separated by white borders. This new approach generated a more organic, inviting template to inspire users.

The first two images showcase the new design, the final represents the old white border design.

Nettex: Wattle & Bourke Brand Design

In 2025, Evie worked within the Nettex marketing team to create an entirely new home furnishings brand called Wattle & Bourke. Working together, the team outlined the brand strategy and goals. Additionally, Evie then worked with co-designer Taryn Langman to design a visual brand identity. The Brand guidelines include a logo, creative direction, recommendations for photography and art direction, as well as social media, web design, and packaging design.

Nettex: Wattle & Bourke Amazon Storefront Design

Following the creation of the 'Wattle & Bourke' Brand, Evie designed and implemented the Amazon brand storefront page using Amazon's native software. Evie created pages for shoppers to browse types of curtains, curtain features, and to learn about the brand. The goal was to elevate the photography and design above the standard Amazon listing, to make Wattle & Bourke stand out.

Nettex: Photography and Infographics for Readymade Curtains

Evie created a design system for readymade curtain product images. These images were used to sell Wattle & Bourke curtains on online marketplaces. To create these product images, Evie photographed the products and used Lightroom and Photoshop to edit and render the photography. Evie also used Figma and Adobe Illustrator to design the infographic elements of the images.

Nettex: Design Show Australia (Kitchen & Build/Architecture)

Evie designed magazine pages for the Design Show Australia 2024 (right) and 2025 (left). This involved photography, layout design and preparation for print.

Evie attended the Design Show as a representative of Nettex to meet with other industry professionals and participate in workshops.

Evie photographed the Nettex stall for social media and other marketing purposes. Evie also worked with stand builders on preparing the stall, by providing print-ready artwork for signage and reviewing proofs.

Nettex: Modernised Brochure

Evie modernised and redesigned the Nettex Brochure. This involved choosing higher quality images and designing a consistent, modern icon system to be used across the Nettex brand.

Additionally, Evie prepared print-ready files and liaised with print companies to ensure high quality brochures.

Nettex: Fabric Print Design

While at Nettex, Evie created a custom fabric design to be used by Auckland Drapes for a number of nursing homes in New Zealand.

The design was printed on two different coloured base cloths, including a darker 'Flax' shade which, through careful research, proved to be a ‘Dementia Friendly’ option.

Hundreds of metres of this fabric have been used in Nursing Homes across New Zealand.

Evie designed the floral print based on New Zealand native flower 'Kōtukutuku'. She hand-sketched the flower and then created a repeating pattern using Adobe Illustrator.

Nettex: Fabric Data Sheet System

In 2024, Evie re-designed and standardised the layout for fabric information, which is downloadable from the Nettex website. The data sheet provides detailed information on each fabric range sold by Nettex (approx. 200), to be used by interior designers and architects to specify curtains for jobs.

The new layout, created and executed by Evie, for the data sheet template was applicable to all existing and new fabrics, clearly displaying various facets of information, whilst adhering to existing Nettex brand guidelines.

Photography and Production for Nettex Fabrics

Evie directed the photography for social media and website, as well as executing rendering in photoshop for product images. The photography focused on highlighting fabric texture and creating tactile curiosity through dynamic and colourful shots.

Evie also provided Art Direction and coordination for a room-set curtain photoshoot with co-designer Taryn Langman and professional photographer Scott Riley.

Present Company: SXSW Sydney 2024

South by Southwest Festival and Conference selected Present Company to facilitate its branding, website and social media for the 2024 Australian launch in Sydney.

Evie designed the ‘Music’ Poster and the ‘Launch Event’ Poster, with collaborative guidance from Senior Designers in the Studio Team and Branding Team at Present Company.

Additionally, Evie designed a range of assets for web, social, print and email.

Present Company: BWS Nice Drops Merch Design
and Social Assets

At Present Company, Evie worked with Hayley McCormack to create a 'Nice Drops' logo and line of merchandise for BWS targeted towards Gen Z. The line of merchandise included a bucket hat, scarf, t-shirts, button-up shirt, shorts, bikini, water bottle, carabiner, disposable camera and towel.
